Candy Clay and Cookies!

To be honest, I made these cookies about a week ago. I just haven't posted about it yet. ha ha

Anyway, I am about to show you something absolutely AMAZING! Candy clay is like, well, clay, but in candy form. Well that was descriptive :)

Here's the recipe!


Ingredients:

Makes:

1 pound.

Instructions:

Step 1

Melt the candy melts following package directions.

Step 2

Add corn syrup and stir to blend. It will look weird and separated at first, but that is totally normal. Just keep on stirrin'.

Step 3

Put mixture on the waxed paper and let set at room temperature to dry.

Step 4

Wrap well and store at room temperature until needed.
Candy clay handles best if hardened overnight.

Step 5

To Use
Candy clay will be very hard at the start; knead a small portion at a time until workable. If candy clay gets too soft, set aside at room temperature or refrigerate briefly. When rolling out candy clay, sprinkle work surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking.


To Store
Prepared candy clay will last for several weeks at room temperature in an airtight container.

I made some cookies with some candy clay on it for one of my YW leaders. They had had surgery the week before and so we visited her to try and get her in happy spirits. Here are some pictures!
